Some search engines actually charge a fee. However,
Hello Engines! never automatically submits your website
to such search engines! To find out whether a search
engine charges a fee or not, simply click the right
mouse button on the respective entry in the manual submission
list and select "Details of selected search service".
(Standard edition only)

The error 0012209 appears when the program has encountered
a problem during generating the RTF report.
This error message may have the following reasons:
- A virus scanner or another security tool has denied
Hello Engines! access to the RTF file to be generated.
- The RTF file was open and could not be generated
We recommend to submit multilingual websites separately.
Well-designed, multilingual websites should place each
language in a different directory, e.g.:
http://www.mysite.com/english/
http://www.mysite.com/german/
etc. Each language directory should have its own index.html,
e.g.:
http://www.mysite.com/english/index.html
If this is the case, enter in Hello Engines! the URL
and the directory only (without index.html). For example:
http://www.mysite.com/english/
If you have placed different languages in the same directory
(not recommended), you need to enter the HTML file directly,
e.g:
http://www.mysite.com/english.html
Please note that the foreign-language document should
also have meta tags for each language!
It is not easy to undo submission to seach services.
For directories it is only possible if you send an email
to the webmaster.
Search engines delete a website from their list automatically
if it has not been available for a certain period (error
404).
For some search services it is necessary to contact
the corresponding search service to get more information.
(Standard edition only)
Error 404 may have the following reasons:
1) You did not establish connection to the internet.
2) The corresponding website is (temporarily) offline.
3) You are using a proxy server. If you define a proxy
server, enter your server with ""http://...""
under TOOLS/PROGRAM OPTIONS.
Please make sure, that you have entered the correct
user name and password. If you do not need a user name
and password, do not enter anything.
4) You do NOT use a proxy server, but you have defined
one under TOOLS/PROGRAM OPTIONS.
5) You are using a firewall or other Internet security
programs, which block internet acces for our software.
Delete the file "FFSTRAN.CFG" in your Hello
Engines! directory.
If the problem persists, re-install Hello Engines!.
