Entering website details

In this section you learn how to enter the details that are important for submitting your website to search services:

  1. In the Project section, click Websites, and choose the URL List tab.

  2. Click the Add button in the upper part and enter the entire URL (e.g.http://www.mysite.com) into the editing field.

  3. Then you click the Add button next to the editing field to add the entered URL to the URL List.

  4. Now go to the Data tab, and fill in the following fields:

    Title
    : Enter a short title that represents your website. Companies should include the company name in the title.

    Description (short)
    : Enter a short description of your website (not more than 60 characters). In this description you can define the topic of your website or the field of your company or association.

    Description (long)
    : Enter a detailed description of your website (not more than 255 characters). Here you can further describe your website, company or association.

    Keywords
    : Enter the terms, Internet users may type in the search field of search engines to find your website. As search engines only read keywords from the meta tags and directories only accept very few entries, you only need to type in 5 to 10 keywords. The Keywords field is not an editable field. Click the Keyword-Assist... button next to the field and enter your keywords into the opening dialog box.

    Language
    : Choose the language of your website.

    Site typ
    : Choose the type of your website. For example, companies should always choose Commercial as Site type.

    Categorie
    : Choose from the specified entries the category that best represents your website. To quickly and easily find the corresponding category, in spite of the many categories available, click the Select... button. The Select value dialog box opens where you enter a search term or define a filter.

  5. Then you can save your data for reusing them. Choose Save As... from the File menu, and select a folder as well as a name.
